What is All Star Buddies?

Answer.
All Star Buddies is a sports-themed virtual world for kids (ages 6+) where a healthy, positive lifestyle is reinforced through fun games, quests and social interaction.

How does All Star Buddies work?

Answer.
First you will join the All Star Buddies team by becoming a member in the Membership section. (Promotional codes obtained from your All Star Buddy plush toy should be entered here. Upon becoming a member, the promo codes will give players free bonus coins, more room in your backpack for purchased items and the ability to win an unlimited number of coins from playing games.) Then you will head into Varsity Heights to select and customize your individual Buddy profiles. Stop off at the Fluff & Stuff Salon and Ball Mart to pick some custom features for your buddy. Some features are free but others require coins. Then get ready to play some fun games on your own or with your friends in Varsity Heights and earn coins to keep upgrading your Buddy.

Question.
How can I earn coins? What can I buy with the coins?

Answer.
Most games in Varsity Heights award coins in return for points. The more you play, the more coins you can win! Coins can be used to purchase Buddy feature upgrades like cool new hair styles and accessories like hats and shoes. (HINT: Be sure to check in often at the “School Zone” as Ms. Applebee is known to give “extra credit” in the form of bonus coins to play educational games like “Math Splash” or “Spelling Streak”.)

How does All Star Buddies promote learning?

Answer.
While other children’s gaming and social sites are centered around fictional themes and fantasy worlds, All Star Buddies provides a more “realistic” community themed around SPORTS where a healthy, positive lifestyle is constantly reinforced through individual and multi-player games and social interaction with other Buddies. The All Star Buddies love learning and they each have a favorite subject. For instance, since Chip, the “golf Buddy”, spends so much time outdoors on the golf course, he has a strong interest in plants (botany) and insects (entomology). Can I play for free?

Answer.
Yes. However, members who have a promotional code from an All Star Buddies plush toy will be given special privileges including free bonus coins when you sign up, more room in your backpack for purchased items and the ability to win an unlimited number of coins from playing games. Members who don’t have a plush code will have a limit on the number of points he/she can accumulate at one time.

How can I customize my Buddy?

Answer.
Players can visit the Fluff & Stuff Salon to purchase new hair styles, various facial features and various body colors for any of their Buddy profiles. Players can also visit Ball Mart to purchase wearable items including hats, shoes, bottoms, tops, glasses and gloves. Each shop will offer a few select “no charge” items. Players must play games to earn coins to purchase items for sale. Both shops are inside Varsity Heights.

Where can I find out about updates to Varsity Heights?

Answer.
New attractions and features will be posted on the Mayor’s bulletin board in the Town Center. Additionally, this information can be found on the home page under “Breaking News”.
